My parents arrived almost a week ago, so I thought to give you a little update!
As they arrived 20min before their scheduled arrival time, and got through customs with lightning speed the worse thing happened...Mariel & I arrived late at the airport. My parents, who expected the ''classic gates'' to open could forget to see me and jump in my arms. As they were waiting in the arrivals hall, I had to sprint and still make it a nice reunion after 1,5 yrs!
The next day, Monday, we explored the Sydney Harbour. Walked around the Opera House and took a ferry to Manly Beach and see worlds best compete in the Hurley Australian Open of Surfing.
To get to know the area where Mariel and I live, the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk is a beautiful way to take in all the scenery. Blue sky, 28 degrees and the big ocean on our side.
Every day we are at the beach, in the morning or afternoon. The natural rock pool, a 3min walk from home is the best spot to cool off on a hot day!
Thursday we hired a car on a road trip to the Blue Mountains, Rainforest and beautiful scenery as far as the eye can see. We had lunch at Echo Point, hiked down Furber Steps towards the Rainforest while passing by waterfalls, little creeks and mighty walls standing in front of us.
