It's winter at the moment here in Oz, but it definitely doesn't feel like that. OK, I gotta be honest. We had a few days of rain, but come on I'm from Holland and you Ozzies call this winter...?
I found myself on the couch last week but I could feel the sun burning on my skin shining through the window. So I took my new Boarder Backpack and just took off.
Let me show you how close I was to home (it took me more than a year to do it...) and at the same time it felt I was 4hrs down the coast.

As soon as I got a bit higher on top of the cliffs everything around me started to show it's colour. Walk with me through these photo's and remind yourself that exploring close to home is easy as.
Now how inviting does that look, a trail going where the eye can't see...

Rock shaped cougar!
One of my intensions was to spot whales. Altough I saw multiple times some spray from their blowhole (look closely in the middle of the picture), I never really got a good shot at the whales migrating up north.
On the way home, arriving on the beach was never so good...
